What I do

I build and fix things in Go and Python, and I help companies make sense of their Cloud infrastructure — not as a checkbox exercise, but as a way to actually solve the problem in front of you.

I’m not an expert. I don’t want to be one. Experts specialize; I generalize — deeply. Years spent across digital technologies have left me with something more useful than a narrow specialty: the ability to walk into a situation everyone has already labeled “difficult,” “complex,” or “impossible,” and find the way through it anyway.

How I think

I don’t organize my thinking around what’s conventionally “best practice.” Rules and established conventions are useful until they become an excuse to stop thinking — and I’d rather think. If the orthodox approach is what got you stuck, it’s probably not what gets you out.

That said, I’m not interested in being provocative for its own sake. I say what needs to be said — plainly, sometimes bluntly — but always with tact and diplomacy. Being honest and being kind are not mutually exclusive.

How I work

Who I work well with

I care about honesty and open-mindedness far more than job titles, seniority, or pedigree. What matters to me is what someone can do, whether they treat other people with empathy, and whether they’re straight with me.

I’ll also be direct about something most consultants won’t tell you: I don’t take every project. If I don’t genuinely believe, in good faith, that I can succeed at what you’re asking, I’ll tell you so — before we start, not after you’ve paid for it.

If that sounds like a fit

If your problem is genuinely hard, if you’re tired of consultants who need three meetings to say nothing, and if you’d rather work with someone who tells you the truth than someone who tells you what you want to hear — let’s talk.
